Altenew Alcohol Markers Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello there, today I have the pleasure of taking part in an awesome blog hop to celebrate the release of the new Altenew Artist Markers.

The Altenew Artist Markers are alcohol based and work beautifully with Altenew stamps. The marker colours are designed to be as close as possible to their existing ink colours, so you can take the colour guessing game out of the way when colouring. The markers have the ability to be refilled and the nibs can be replaced (both are not currently in the Altenew store but they are considering offering ink refills and replacement nibs for them in the future).

Set A which I have used on my projects today, is available to purchase in the store now. It is a set of 12 markers and colours included in the set are shades of red-pinks, blues and greens; as well as a black.

For my card, I started off by stamping the flowers and leaves from the Adore You set on to Neenah cardstock, using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink. These were then coloured using the Altenew Artist Markers. I used three shades of blue for the flowers and three shades of green for the leaves. These were then fussy cut out and the edges coloured using a black pen (this makes it look like I cut out the images perfectly!).

 

The flowers and leaves were arranged on a piece of white cardstock and adhered using tape runner. The sentiment from the Adore You set was stamped on to more white cardstock and cut out. This was added to the panel with foam tape. The panel was adhered to an A2 black card base with ATG. To finish off, I added black sequins.

 

Next up, I wanted to make a little tag with the same design but this time, using the pink and red shades of markers. I stamped the smaller images from the Adore You set on to white cardstock, coloured with the markers and fussy cut also. I took a Hero Arts Nesting Tag die and cut this from white cardstock.

I took the sentiment, from the Fresh Freesia set and stamped this on to the tag with black ink. The flowers and leaves were then added with tape runner. To finish off, I added black twine through the top.
